{Potty Training - Oh what fun!}

I know it is my own fault and I am crazy for trying to potty train with a brand new baby, but it needs to be done! We tried back at Thanksgiving and Braiden just wasn't quite ready yet. My goal was then Christmas break when J.T. would be home to help, but then we all got the flu. I wanted him to be trained before Gavin was born, but I didn't feel good and couldn't bend over to help him like I needed to. That is why I am doing it now. Braiden has been good to go for the past few months when I would ask him. The rest of the time he would just go in his diaper. Now I am having to retrain him making him realize he can't do that anymore. We started on Monday. It was a good day! Only one accident. The rest of the week, I was ready to pull my hair out! Today, a new story. He has told me each time that he needed to go potty. He went #2 in the potty! YEAH:) He even told J.T. during sacrament meeting and he stayed dry while at church. We are having a great day so far. I will jinx us by saying this, but no accidents yet today. Each day is a new challenge, but hopefully we are just going to get better and better. Then it will be working on getting him to pull down his own pants:) Good luck to all of you going through potty training. Don't give up! It will work out eventually!

Arts and crafts

Braiden and I are trying to do fun projects at least a few times week to give him some me time. Today we made heart mobiles for Valentines Day! We hung them up in the kitchen. We cut out the hearts and taped them to a piece of string. He thought it was so cool! I love the Family Fun website. It has fun ideas for everything.

2 weeks old!

Gavin was two weeks old last week. On Monday, we took him to the doctor for his appointment. He now weighs 10 lbs. 4 oz. and was 22 inches long. I can't believe how much he has grown! He is in the 99% range in both areas. I am grateful for my healthy and big boys! (Braid has always been big like this!)

Sew Sew Sew!

I had a huge list of sewing projects I wanted to complete before Gavin was born. This is mostly because they were all for him. I made him three blankets, burp rags, a diaper bag, and quilt and bumper pads for his crib. Braiden and Gavin share a room, so I had to have them match! I still have to make a crib skirt and curtains, but I was glad I got done what I did. I just thought I would post my projects.

Rub-a-dub-dub!

Braiden is definitely two years old. He keeps us hopping and brings new challenges everyday. We love him, but the other day was no exception. I was letting him hold a travel size bottle of baby wash, which was open (lid closed). This is partially my fault for letting him hold it. I ran in the bathroom to throw something away and came back. He had lathered up his head and was ready to rinse his hair. I thought it was funny even though he got shampoo on my carpet. Everyday it amazes me what kids can remember and do all by themselves.
