Happy Fathers Day

Our Fathers Day turned into an interesting day. Braiden had woke up coughing a little bit. We continued through the day like normal. We gave JT some gifts and enjoyed spending the morning with him (all his meetings before church were canceled). We then went to Sacrament meeting. Braiden was coughing a little more now. After the sacrament we left to give him a breathing treatment. His allergies were affecting his asthma. We came back for primary. He was still coughing but it was just his allergies. We went home. By the time we had finished dinner, he was really coughing. We decided he should stay home. JT stayed with the boys while I ran a few places to wish the Fathers a happy day. Luckily, we had been with Jim the night before so we got to see him. JT also got the first season of MacGyver, so he was just fine to stay home with the boys. Wasn't that a great show!?! When I got home we had Mike run over and help give Braiden a blessing. It was an interesting day to say the least. It seems my boys seem to get sick at each holiday. Valentines day was croup and pneumonia. Mothers day was croup and Fathers day was ear infections and what turned into croup. Enough about all of our sickness. It was a great day to remember all of the Fathers in my life. I am so grateful for my husband. He is a wonderful husband and Dad. I know he works hard each and every day for us. I love him so much. He is a fabulous dad to the boys. A quick sidenote: In Primary, Sister Allan had all of the dads fill out a paper with something they like and their favorite primary song. The kids then had to guess who's dad it was. The first paper that was picked said he loved the play baseball with his two boys. His favorite song was I am a Child of God. Braiden raised his hand because he knew it was his dad. He was right. I was so touched that JT put that was one of his favorite things to do. He really loves our boys so much. I can see it every time he is with them. I am also so grateful for my Dad. He is such a great example to me. He works so hard and I know he loves us and my Mom. I love that he is such a great grandpa to my boys. They love when they get to see grandpa! They know he will always play ball with them. That is one thing I love that I got from my dad. I love sports. Unfortunately, I mostly route for the same teams as him and they haven't been doing so well lately. We do have a new hope this year, GO BRAVES!! First place right now. (I hope it lasts.) My Mom and Dad just got back from a trip to Atlanta. For Dad's birthday they went to see the Braves play. They brought each of the kids back a shirt from the game. My boys were in heaven. Braid love his Braves shirt. Since he got it, I haven't heard him say GO YANKEES! Hopefully, we have broke him of that:) We decided to get the kids together and take their picture for Dad in all of their shirts. I think it turned out pretty good.
I am also so grateful for my father-in-law and all of my grandpa's(in-law) too! They all are such great examples to me. I know my Father-in-law was such a great example to JT. It shows by how JT treats and respects us. I am so grateful for all the Fathers in my life. I hope you all had a Happy Happy Fathers day! We love you:)

Hard at Work

.
Since it is summer vacation, we have started on our outdoor to-do list. One of the projects has been to pour a little cement to extend the driveway. It wasn't poured over all the way and so we would always drive on the lawn and we broke the sprinkler head. It just made sense to pour a little cement and pour cement we did. JT and I worked one Friday afternoon on this one. He mixed, I added water. He poured, I cleaned up. When the cement was set up a little bit, we brought the boys outside to stick their hand in the cement. They were napping and resting while we poured it. Braiden thought it was fun, Gavin wasn't quite so sure. JT wrote their names and helped with their hands. It will be so fun to look back and see how little they once were. It is crazy to see them grow. I love it but am glad we were able to stop time for a little while with this project. It was a busy afternoon with one more check to put on my list! YEAH:)

Riding around with Dad

A few years ago, my sister-in-law told us about a fabulous sale on this little baby. It was a bike that you hook up to an adult bike. The child can then pedal and feel like he is riding all by himself, but really he gets to ride with Mom or Dad. The fabulous thing is you can go on longer bike rides at a regular pace. Braiden is absolutely in love with this bike. He wants to ride it every second of everyday. The only problem is JT and I have to get other things done as well. He settles for riding his blue bike when we can't take him. The other night we were able to go on a family bike ride. JT and Braiden and Gavin and I. We also have the bike trailer to pull behind me. It worked out wonderfully. It really was such a great little ride. I am so impressed with Braiden. He can't reach the pedals real well, but he does so great. One funny thing is Braiden wore his bike helmet almost all day long the first day he got to ride the RED bike. I couldn't get him to take it off. I am so glad my boys love to ride bikes and play outside. It is so good for them and so much fun for JT and me.
