Dinosaurs and Farm Animals

Ellie, Stewart and Gavin

Nice pose Braiden

Back in August when it was $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point, my sister-in-laws and I decided to be brave and try this adventure. It was so much fun! The dinosaur museum was really neat, and Braiden loved it. Gavin had fun, but it will be more fun for him when he is a little older. They loved digging in the sand and finding dinosaur bones. They also thought the T-Rex was really cool. We ate lunch outside and then headed to the petting zoo. It was not nearly as crowded and all of the kids LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Gavin could not get enough. He loves animals so so much:) We first saw goats and then we found this. Llama Llama Red Pajama!!! This Gavin's favorite story. We were so excited to find a llama! We then saw chickens, horses, cows, pigs, rabbits, ducks, and even got to go on a wagon ride pulled by horses. This was the highlight of the day. My boys loved so much being able to go with Stewart, Ellie and Dillon. Alex's sister and girls came along as well. It was quite the adventure. I am so glad we decided to venture out and go. The day was busy but a blast!

First Day of Preschool

He has really been into posing lately!

I am so behind on posting. We have done some fun things over the past month. I will hopefully get those things posted soon. Braiden started Preschool!?! That is so crazy. It has been a little weird for both of us. Braiden has really loved it, but had a hard time leaving me. He has cried pretty much everyday I have left him. He has gotten better as time has gone by. He didn't really cry yesterday, just clung to me a little. I haven't even cried. I am really proud of myself. It has been a little weird at home. I will look at the clock and wonder how much longer. I love being able to get things done and he needs to go and be with other kids. It is just really different feeling like a part of me is gone for a little while. I love his preschool though. I am so grateful everything has worked out so well. It is going to be an interesting adventure, but one we will both really love, I am just sure of it:)

Collett Family Reunion 2010

Gavin fell in the mud the first night we were camping

A few weeks ago we (Jim Collett Family) were in charge of the annual Collett Family Reunion. Jim's brothers and sister came with their families. We had it up Bennion Creek. It was a fun weekend of camping and visiting. We went up the night before and camped off the side of the road with Mike, Alex, Stewart, Austin, Kristy, Ellie and Dillon. I know, it was not in a campground. Who says I am not a camper!?! OK, I had the trailer. Thank heavens. It really was a lot of fun. We had dinner and then roasted mallows. The boys, especially Gavin loved that Austin and Kristy brought up Daisy (their dog). Gavin was not far behind her. He loved everything about her.

The next morning, JT had to come down for work, but Austin was so nice and moved our trailer into Bennion Creek. We helped get everything set up and then people started coming. It was fun to see JT's Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Some I had never met. We enjoyed many many activities. We ate and ate and ate some more. The food was delicious. My mother-in-law made a fabulous menu and did a wonderful job getting everything done. We also had games for the kids. Jenny had them make T-shirts. It was great and they turned out adorable. Some went shooting, some made bracelets, some road the 4-wheelers. Saturday afternoon we all competing in the Cardboard boat ragata. We were divided into five teams and had to make a boat and race it around the pond. Our team did not win, but our boat did stay afloat. It was a fun afternoon. It was a busy weekend full of memories. We were so grateful to be able to visit with family and enjoy time with one another. It will be fun to see everyone again next year!
