The day finally came. We have been waiting for them to come and start tearing down our church. It finally happened. It was a sad but exciting thing. It was a beautiful building with many memories for many people. We are so excited to get a new building which will still be across the street from our home. The nice thing about this is we know there is progress. It was neat to take the boys over and let them see what was going on. Of course they love the tractors and and the destruction. It will be neat process to watch as the new building comes up.
There were so many people who stopped to watch. The parking lot was full. People were pulling over and stopping on both sides of the road. Traffic was crazy because people were slowing down as they went by to see what was going on. JT went over after he got off of work and asked one of the construction guys if he had expected the crowd they received today. He said definately not. He couldn't believe all of the people that were there. They never get that type of a crowd. It was crazy, but neat to think so many people were affected by this building. We are excited to see what comes next.
