Since the boys each got a new kite at the Easter party(post below) we decided for FHE on Monday to go and try them out. We invited JT's Dad over for dinner and to go fly kites with us. (His Mom had to work late, that is why she wasn't there.) It was so much fun.
Unfortunately, there was no wind. We tried a few times, and finally the one kite went up. It ended up going up and up and up. We had it to the end of the string. The boys loved flying the kite. They each took a turn holding it. They really enjoyed running around the huge field. I couldn't get Gavin to sit still, but when does he ever. It was so fun to have Grandpa Collett with us. We really enjoyed spending the evening with him. Next time, we will try a night that at least has a little breeze, it might be a little bit easier getting those kites up. We hope to be able to try them out again very soon:)
